Here is exactly what to do. If you've never opened Terminal before, that is fine. I've made this as soft a landing as I could.
Four steps
Open your Downloads folder and find imprint.zip. Double-click it.
A folder called imprint will appear right next to the zip. Leave it where it is.
Terminal is the little app where you type instructions to your Mac. You may have never opened it. That is okay.
Press Command + Space. A search bar appears in the middle of your screen. Type Terminal. Press Enter. A black or white window will open. You are in.
Click anywhere inside the Terminal window first, so it knows you are talking to it. Then paste this line and press Enter.
That's the only command you'll ever need to remember.
The script will walk you through three small things, in order:
One, it'll ask for your Claude API key. More on that below.
Two, your Mac will ask for permission to read Messages. You only do this once. The script tells you exactly where to click.
Three, it goes quiet for about five to ten minutes. Close the lid if you want. Your reading will open in your browser when it's ready.
Take a screenshot of whatever you're looking at and send it. I read every email and I'll figure it out with you.
